What's the Matter?
Ever wake up one morning just annoyed at your world? Not because something is wrong but just... annoyed? Yeah, I'm pretty annoyed with my world today. Maybe something triggered it. Maybe I'm weird. Tomorrow. Tomorrow will be better. 10 month photo update tomorrow! Well, baby willing anyway.

Help Please

Okay, so we got the proofs back from the studio. We get to frame a 11x14 crystal photo. These are 4 of my favorites, but I can't choose. Opinions are appreciated! The first one is her almost smiling face. The two cow photos, I just love that big "O" face, and the fat giraffe, I couldn't leave him out. The last one is her actually smiling and there wasn't much of it going on that day. I don't know... The purpose of this session was to get Leah and Mina to take a loving picture together, but that was wishful thinking because they weren't cooperating. AT ALL. What I mean to say is, there isn't a single picture of them where one, the other or both aren't crying. Not a one...

Annoyances but.....
I can't seem to get blogger to work on the iPad but at least I have my phone! Gotta love technology =) Besides, what do you people care as long as I get pictures loaded, ya know? These were taken at the Viking Babies Halloween Party at husband's work place this past Friday. She was a Moo Moo for the studio photo that morning (will be updated once I receive) but a pink bunny for the party. Tee hee! It even had a cotton ball tail!

Happy Days
Okay, so I have a new toy. Thank you, Husband. I heart, but there isn't an app that works as efficiently as I'd like so that I can BLOG! So after much search, trial and error, I went with iBlogger. Anyway, on to more of the fun stuff! It's been a long week, but a good one. Celebrating a birthday when you have a Little, is not quite celebrating. It's better. Nothing is different, but it is my first birthday as a *GASP* mommy and I have to say, it's been the best. And no, not because I got an iPad. Okay, maybe a little bit because it is such a fun toy to have (and practical!). Besides, I now have an "M" key that actually uhm, functions. My laptop looked something like
uhm.... fantastic..... it still won't load photos.

Complain Complain Complain
Due to some recent complaints, here's an update. Ya happy now?! I have less and less time to do things around the house. Her recent achievements? She crabwalks holding onto furniture, she's learned to sit back down on her own from a standing position, she still blows spit bubbles (just bigger ones than before), she has figured out how to climb onto the couch (which scares the jeebus out of me), climbs onto the dishwasher to pull out all my clean utensils to play with, refuses to let me cut her fingernails and sleeps now with her butt in the air.
See?
(There's no light in her room, and she fell asleep this way while we were playing on the floor so I didn't want to quite wake her, but I just couldn't resist taking this picture)
"OOOOOH, new toys, mommy!"
She has crazy (-er) hair now that I really don't know what to do with anymore...
I have to lock her in with my legs to cut her fingernails while she screams bloody murder all the while...
Her attempts of trying to climb the couch again. The first time I found her on the couch, I freaked. I'd turned around only long enough to stick her bottle in the warmer when I saw her continuing to climb further up the back of the couch. That would have been a long drop to the floor. No fear, this one. (that little butt behind her belongs to Hunter)
And these, my friend, are my favorite new thing. Baby Uggs! In PINK, no less. I heart them. No more losing socks!
I say this often, and it's so true. Time flies. I turn around and she is finding herself a new trick, a new something that makes my heart stop briefly and my stomach catches in my throat, and I know in my heart that the fear is a permanent emotion etched in. I will have that fear for the rest of my life that something will hurt her if I am not there to protect her from whatever those things are. While my main concern for the time being is that she will hurt herself falling or banging into a chair at nearly 10 months old, that same fear that makes me want to hide her away from everything bad will eventually grow as she does. As she grows to be a kid running around in the playground, as she grows to be a child in school, a teenager moving onto college and forward. That fierce need to protect her will always be there. It will be a lesson to learn for me as much, if not more, than it will be for her. Being afraid to let go while still needing to do so, but for the moment, I love the right now. Fear and all. I now understand why adults repeatedly preach "enjoy it for what it is while it lasts". It really is all in a moment.
*Question, what are you going to be for Halloween???*

Followers
So I just stumbled upon some people following and my unknowingly follower-ing said people on Gmail. I can't even say I speak to any of these people in life so I do not know what they are doing (or were doing anyway - since I figured out how to delete them) on my follower-ing list. Can someone tell me why they update it with people you don't really care for without your knowledge? Is it because you may have been included in some mass email? I see the option of turning it (they call it Buzz) off. It's not so much that it bothers me ...just that... if I miss you and am curious as to what you're doing with your life, I will ask you. I do not need it constantly updating on my email page, right? Well on the flip side, I guess it saves lazy folks like myself the trouble of asking how you are if I can just read up on it randomly. Shrug. A bit like keeping a blog, yes? Technology makes people contact so impersonal. I'm (very) guilty of it. I just don't like having to see updates for people I don't, uhm, know. I have a hard enough time catching up with my real life friends and their lives. I don't care that some chick named "ABC" is eating at the "123 restaurant" for the gazillionth time. Thanks Google. No photos today. I'm lazy.

Here, Fishy Fishies!
Uhm, why are there birds at an aquariam? Nevertheless, it was a nice way to spend a day. Quite far, and Atlantis out in Riverhead seemed much smaller today than I remembered it to be, but it was a beautiful day so no complaints here.
Boss Baby has ZERO interest in anything except the blue lights in the tanks. Z-E-R-O interest, I tell ya.
I happen to heart heart HEART sealions. Like, wanna bring 'em home with me and play kind of heart. Leah? Not so much. Not just yet. She will. I will make sure she will grow to love them *cackle*. Although, it may backfire one day should she throw a tantrum that she wants to take one home to keep
We made it just on time to watch the sealion show. Her (the sealion) name is Bunker. Obviously, Little has no interest in them so it was really for me. I think they're the coolest. *Nerd. Me. I. Know*
Family Fun Day Photo! Here, we (namely, husband) were trying to get the funny looking spider-like tripod to work when this nice lady saw husband fiddling with his doo-hickey, and offered to take a picture of us, for us. Thank you, nice lady with the really cute baby. Oh, and that lady on the left corner who got stuck in the shot? Yep, that's nice lady's mom.
"ooooh, bright lightsssss"
Can you tell she has no interest in anything else? She doesn't care. She just wants to see the lights.
By this point, we gave up on taking human form pictures. So here are some other creatures to entertain you with. I don't blame you if you don't finish this post. There's really nothing else. No cutesy wootsy pictures of the Little. No cutesy wootsy stories to tell. She was just tired and uncooperative.
And, here. Does that look out of place to you or is it just me? Really, what's with the birds? Oddity.
