That mess was self inflicted. Tamper resistant. They weren't kidding. It took a crapload of force to crack. Any guesses why I no longer have a window??? Yes, we are all fine and dandy. In fact, when that happened, we never even made it out of the driveway. Here's a hint: NEVER let the car door close when your toddler is holding the keys. That's right. She locked me out of the car and grew so hysterical, I couldn't afford to wait for the folks who do this sort of thing on a regular basis. Worst mommy ever moment. And the world's most helpless feeling in the world.
OH NO!
ReplyDeleteI know EXACTLY how you felt. It is the most panicked, out of control feeling in the entire world. (And when it hapepned to mine, he was strapped in a car seat and couldn't possibly do anything dangerous.)
I'm so sorry this happened. When it happened to me, I was about 3 nanoseconds away from taking husband's golf clubs and slamming them through the window.
Glad you're BOTH okay :)
Omg. That's crazy!
ReplyDeleteBut, you're not the worst mom ever! Don't be too hard on yourself!
Love yoouuuu
@The New Mom on the Blog believe it or not, that heart sinking moment that you know the car is locked but you're desperately clawing at the door handles anyway - one of my thoughts were "omg, I remember new mom saying this happened to her". Haha. The strange things that you think of. :) she was so hysterical I wasn't about to leave her in there for a half hour required to wait for someone to get to me. If it happened again, the same way, I wouldn't do it differently as annoyed as I am today that I have to go and get the window replaced. Gahhh
ReplyDelete@Jenny it was just a worst mommy moment. i got over it when i got a new window. =)
