Mother of the Year

That mess was self inflicted. Tamper resistant. They weren't kidding. It took a crapload of force to crack. Any guesses why I no longer have a window??? Yes, we are all fine and dandy. In fact, when that happened, we never even made it out of the driveway. Here's a hint: NEVER let the car door close when your toddler is holding the keys. That's right. She locked me out of the car and grew so hysterical, I couldn't afford to wait for the folks who do this sort of thing on a regular basis. Worst mommy ever moment. And the world's most helpless feeling in the world.

  1. OH NO!
I know EXACTLY how you felt. It is the most panicked, out of control feeling in the entire world. (And when it hapepned to mine, he was strapped in a car seat and couldn't possibly do anything dangerous.)

I'm so sorry this happened. When it happened to me, I was about 3 nanoseconds away from taking husband's golf clubs and slamming them through the window.

    Glad you're BOTH okay :)

  3. @The New Mom on the Blog believe it or not, that heart sinking moment that you know the car is locked but you're desperately clawing at the door handles anyway - one of my thoughts were "omg, I remember new mom saying this happened to her". Haha. The strange things that you think of. :) she was so hysterical I wasn't about to leave her in there for a half hour required to wait for someone to get to me. If it happened again, the same way, I wouldn't do it differently as annoyed as I am today that I have to go and get the window replaced. Gahhh
